The 95-minute feature, which makes its debut tonight at the Hot Docs International Film Festival in Toronto, was made possible through a crowdsourcing fundraising efforts of Vaziri's managers and family friends Jian and Page Magen.

(Their father, Bijan, a former table-tennis champion in Iran, and the Sheik are childhood friends.) In 2010 they brought the Sheik to the Grammys and introduced him to Jay Z and Beyoncé on the red carpet.
